The fact that they are defending these two anonymous characters is truth enough of dupping me thinks.

Well I'll be! Scooby I knew you were popular but not THIS popular!! Scooby is rich because he's got a good head for business. He knows a good deal when he sees one. He knows HOW to play the game to it's fullest extent. Yeah I'm jealous of him. From personal experience I can pop to any one of the major towns and ask if anyone knows him and numerous people message me saying yeah. That's all I need to know.

I am honored to be one of Scooby's friends. I chat with him on Team Speak. I know him very well. I know for a fact that he was banned. For a long damn time too. And he appealed and fought Anet about it. The verdict is: Anet knows EVERY duped item, as well as where each piece of gold goes. I read that from an official on the wiki. Scooby asked them to remove ANY duped items from his account so he could have it back and play. They researched the whole thing and KNOW that the ONLY thing he is GUILTY of is accepting offers that were too hard to refuse for selling HIGH END mini pets. UNAWARE mind you that they were duped. Anet knows what he said turned out legit and removed all of the dupes from his account. When he was banned he had a Mini Panda on his account.... when he was unbanned it was still there *gasp*. Must not have been duped eh?

There are many of us who stuck right by his side through this whole ordeal. He appealed. And he won. He served his time for making an error in judgement. His name has been CLEARED!

I am happy to see so many people care enough about you Scooby that they create this SHRINE on GWguru for the ULTIMATE MINI PET GURU IN GAME! *MWA* Love Ya!

P.S. Feel free to close this thread there is WAY too much accusations, discrimination and flaming going on here.
They have a Korean guild tag why would you demand they speak clear English?! The nerve of some people!!

The issue of someone selling a single ambrace to another innocent person, later on, is more complicated. The item was duped, but the buyer may not have been -- probably was not -- aware that he/she was buying a duped item. So, it's a matter of degree, intention, and knowledge. Do we ban the seller, with multiple stacks of 250 armbraces in inventory (or who handed off stacks to friends and guildies)? Yes! Do we ban the player who makes the one-off purchase -- an armbrace here, a couple of duped ectos there? It's not likely that we will.

Duplicating items is disallowed by the User Agreement under which each player is permitted to play Guild Wars. Getting stacks and stacks of free items -- or receiving ridiculous numbers of items for a sale -- must have pinged peoples' radars that "Hey, this can't be legit!" Just as receiving stolen property is a crime in the real world, this sort of act is disallowed in our game, and results in a ban.

Those who made an innocent purchase have very little to worry about. The accounts of those who were banned were examined with care and consideration, using extensive research to assure that the appropriate action was taken. It is highly unlikely that these players can successfully appeal their banning.
And if you're aware of someone who was involved, I invite you to report that player, for the good of the game.

The amount he sold it for was not suspicious like the 1750 Armbraces which gave the dupers away. His trade was one of the believable ones. It went down way way way like weeks before the dupers started offering 1750 Armbraces for a Mini Beetle or whatever.

This is the first post in defence that actually has some meaning to it, I never demanded they speak clear english, english is my second language aswell and i did not chose to rape it. Also him being popular doesnt have anything to do with this even if it does he brought it upon himself for having to claim to be that person. If i take out all the friendloving and trying to place him as a good person this is whats left:

Still is pretty much usefull information in defence hes indeed stupid enough to accept overloaded offers, case closed.

I'm sorry this is incorrect. The original poster included pictures of two people in a guild and started widly throwing around accusations and speculation. The very next post is of the person who is DEFENDING himself as HE was the one in the picture. Through all of this he has sat here defending himself trying to extinguish the flames burning up his name. And we are here to yet again support him and say this thread is CRAP and not TRUE.

Not everyone believes in everything that Gailes Gray says. I have a reason/s to believe that they didn't banned all dupers, and in original post I explained why I think so. That was my example, some people call it false, some might agree. And that's exactly the point of this thread, to see what people think about it. Not to attack random persons.

Of COURSE it's Ecto and Scoob. There is no one else who has those characters, the names almost the same, the same titles, BOTH WITH PANDAS, and being extremely rich. Stop being stupid.

You can see his Guild, his Panda, and him.

Im sure most people here dont know the people in the SS by face and armor so the "defenders" didnt need to "defend" considering no one would have known it was them if they wouldnt have jumped out saying "Im not a duper stop saying that!"

Basically he was just asking if there were still dupers and people get all defensive about it. Its a simple Yes or No question.

Personally I think yes, there are still dupers but they arent as dumb as the ones who like to mass-dupe armbraces, now those people were begging to get caught.

like i said and other people have said, anet removed everything that was duped that i made from them ive lost out too. but neway this thread is lame may aswell be closed.

Ofcourse ive never seen anyone else with that armor wearing that title or with a panda those 2 are the only ones in the entire playerbase being capable of it hypocrite.
